Check Your Tires:
Summer heat increases tire pressure. Check your PSI (including the spare) when the tires are cold using the manufacturer's recommended level located on the driver's side door panel. Look for signs of uneven wear or dry rot.
Maintain Fluids:
Heat stresses your engine. Check engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, and coolant levels. Make sure your radiator is properly filled with high-quality antifreeze, which has a higher boiling point than water.
Test the A/C and Battery:
Ensure your air conditioning is functioning properly to prevent driver fatigue. Additionally, have your battery tested, as high heat can degrade older batteries and cause unexpected breakdowns.
